Patient Support and Financial Resources

National Kidney Foundation of Colorado, Montana and Wyoming [2]
Provides patient emergency financial assistance grants to kidney patients living in Colorado, Montana or Wyoming.
A financial assistance program for persons who have End Stage Renal Disease or have received a kidney transplant.  The only additional requirements to enroll in this program are: the recipient must be a U.S. citizen, a legal resident of the state of Wyoming, and must make under $1,000 per month.  The maximum fiscal grant is $100 per person per fiscal year, although exceptions will be determined on a case-by-case basis.  Patients should find and complete all the necessary documentation through their Nephrology Social Worker or Transplant Social Worker.

This is a program that provides financial assistance to families with children who have special health care needs in Wyoming.

Sheridan County  Wyoming Diabetes Strip Assistance Program [4]
Provides free blood glucose test strips to diabetics meeting the financial guidelines residing in Sheridan County, Wyoming.

  • Adult Programs: Wyoming Medicaid that pays for medical care for some low-income and medically needy individuals and families.
  • Programs for Children: Kid Care CHIP offers health insurance coverage for Wyoming's children and teens through age 18 that are uninsured and meet income and eligibility guidelines that are not eligible for Wyoming EqualityCare (Medicaid). Dental services are provided by Delta Dental of Wyoming.
  • Additional Programs: Wyoming Health Insurance High Risk (WHIP) Health insurance coverage for eligible individuals who are denied adequate health insurance.

Health Reform Status

Exchange: The federal government will run the health insurance exchange in Wyoming.

Medicaid: It is unknown at this time whether the state will expand Medicaid eligibility.
